Nota 260 X

They are the largest bookshelf speakers in the Indiana Line Nota series. They have a 26 mm tweeter (silk dome tweeter) and a 166 mm woofer. Everything is sealed in the bass reflex cabinet with a port at the back. The massive cabinet is made of MDF panels. The Indiana Line Nota 260 X loudspeaker is designed for medium-sized rooms – not exceeding 20 m2. It will work in a stereo system, especially where there is no place for a floorstanding model.

Indiana Line Nota 260 X

Indiana Line is one of the most important Italian brands, which offers loudspeakers and installation speakers. The brand’s traditions date back to 1977. The goal of engineers and designers working for Indiana Line from the beginning of its activity is the highest quality of workmanship, combined with the rational use of components. This approach allows the loudspeakers to achieve sonic qualities that go far beyond the parameters that can be achieved in a similar price range.

Nota – designs for years

The timeless shapes of the Indiana Line loudspeaker cabinets from the Nota series confirm the artistry of Italian design. The stylishly contoured side panels have been finished with an aesthetic and durable vinyl coating in light walnut or black oak. The Nota 260 X that belongs to this series of loudspeakers will not only decorate your home interior but will also surprise you with its clear sound with high dynamics, while providing an extremely emotional and strong sound, comparable to what we can hear during a live concert.

The largest bookshelf design from the Nota series

The Indiana Line Nota 260 X is a large, 2-way speaker (the largest bookshelf model in the Nota series) with a 26 mm dome tweeter and a 166 mm woofer. The mid-woofer is distinguished by a long linear excursion of the membrane. The bass reflex cabinet of the Nota 260 X has a backfiring port. This speaker has been designed for medium-sized listening rooms (up to 20 m2). It will be particularly useful for a classic stereo system wherever there is no room for large floor standers. Nota 260 X has an amplifier loading impedance between 4 – 8 ohms and the dedicated amplifier power to drive it should be from 30 to 100 W.

Micro grooving and more

The Nota series loudspeakers use various technical solutions that allow them to obtain high-quality sound. As in the lower bookshelf models from the Nota series, the woofer membrane in the Nota 260 X also has micro-grooves. It is similar to the one found on CDs. This driver allows the reproduction of a smooth and warm-sounding midrange, and at the same time provides powerful bass reproduction. The tweeter dome with a neodymium magnet and a unique radial rear chamber used in the Nota 260 X model has been placed in a specially profiled front panel, which contributes to the dispersion of treble. Moreover, only air coils and foil capacitors are used in the tweeter filter. This makes the reproduced trebles extremely clear.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

Air coils and film capacitors

In order to emphasize the exceptionally clear and natural sound of our loudspeakers, we decided to get rid of the troublesome components from the crossover where it was necessary – in the tweeter filter. In all loudspeaker models in which this filter is used, we use only air coils and foil capacitors. These elements do not introduce harmful distortions to the filtered signal, as is the case with ferrite core coils and electrolytic capacitors.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

Radialvent

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong, neodymium magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
