Tesi 761

The Indiana Line Tesi 761 central loudspeaker is an exceptionally aesthetic design with a back firing bass reflex port. It uses a 26 mm dome tweeter asymmetrically between a pair of woofers with a diameter of 160 mm. It has been optimized for realistic and detailed voice reproduction. By using the Indiana Line Tesi 761 loudspeakers from the Tesi series, you can create a complete and at the same time sonically coherent set of home theatre loudspeakers, ensuring high dynamics of the reproduced signal.

Indiana Line Tesi 761

The traditions of the Indiana Line brand date back to 1977. Nowadays it is one of the most important Italian brands, offering loudspeakers and installation speakers. Indiana Line designs are characterized by the high quality of workmanship, combined with the rational use of components. The ideas behind the actions of the engineers and designers working for this brand allowed them to obtain sonic qualities that go far beyond the parameters achieved by competitive models, offered in a similar price range.

Two universal colors

The cabinet of the Indiana Line Tesi 761 model is the true essence of Italian design. Its classic shapes are enriched by rounded edges. The speaker has been finished with durable and at the same time aesthetic vinyl. It is available in black oak or light walnut. The timeless design of the Tesi 761 model makes it perfect for interiors of any arrangement. The loudspeaker surprises with its complete and extremely mature sound.

Two-way column for multi-channel systems

The Tesi 761 is an Indiana Line 2-way central speaker. Its design uses a pair of highly dynamic 160 mm mid-woofers and a 26 mm silk dome tweeter placed between them. This model has been specially optimized for realistic and detailed voice reproduction. The backported bass reflex cabinet of Tesi 761 has been tuned to perform optimally, even when placed in the nook of a bookstand. Together with Tesi 661 or Tesi 561 floorstanding models, or Tesi 261 bookshelf speakers as front speakers and Tesi 241 as effect speakers, the Tesi 761 model forms a complete and sonically-consistent set of the Indiana Line speakers for the home theatre system. The loudspeaker has an amplifier loading impedance between 4 – 8 ohms. The power of the amplifier used to power the Indiana Line Tesi series central speaker should be in the range of 30 to 120 W.

Solid workmanship and full sound

The woofer cones have been appropriately profiled and made of a mixture of polypropylene and mica, which gives them the rigidity necessary for precise micro-details reproduction. There is a phase plug in the center of the mid-woofer membranes, which ensures acoustic central bandwidth distribution. The tweeter in the Tesi 761 is a silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and a radial rear chamber. It is placed asymmetrically (closer to one of the woofers) in an undercut and specially profiled front. Such an arrangement of the tweeter in relation to the other two drivers reduces acoustic diffraction, which can blur the precise location of sound sources. At the same time, the tweeter offers open and clear treble and guarantees perfect blending with the mid-woofer. It is worth emphasizing that only air coils and foil capacitors are used in the tweeter filter. This solution contributes to the refinement sound of the Tesi 761 compared to competitive loudspeakers.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

Air coils and film capacitors

In order to emphasize the exceptionally clear and natural sound of our loudspeakers, we decided to get rid of the troublesome components from the crossover where it was necessary – in the tweeter filter. In all loudspeaker models in which this filter is used, we use only air coils and foil capacitors. These elements do not introduce harmful distortions to the filtered signal, as is the case with ferrite core coils and electrolytic capacitors.

Aluring

The short-circuit ring is made of pure, perfectly electrically conductive aluminum (1010). It has been placed inside the magnetic system of the mid-woofer. By linearizing the impedance of the loudspeaker, it positively influences the sound of the low and medium frequencies of the acoustic band, significantly reducing non-linear distortions. The ring also absorbs the heat emitted from the speaker coil, increasing its thermal load capacity.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

Mica-poly cone

Universal and extremely popular polypropylene is a valued material, often used for speaker membranes. However, in order to ensure the most faithful transmission of micro-details, we decided to further increase the stiffness of the cone. We achieved this by doping polypropylene with a mineral called mica. This shiny, hard material significantly improves the parameters of the membrane, guaranteeing the transducer a long and reliable operation, and at the same time giving it an attractive appearance.

Radialvent

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
