Nota 240 X

The light and compact Indiana Line Nota 240 X bookshelf loudspeaker is a 2-way model with a 26 mm tweeter and a 107 mm woofer. It is one of the smallest models developed by Indiana Line designers. The timeless shapes of the Indiana Line Nota 240 X loudspeakers cabinet (with characteristically profiled side edges) will work especially in small interiors – with an area of up to 12 m2. This loudspeaker can be the part of a home theater system (as an effect loudspeaker) or a compact stereo system. The cabinet construction enables wall mounting.

Indiana Line Nota 240 X

Indiana Line is one of the most important Italian brands in the audio sector, which offers loudspeakers. Indiana Line traditions date back to 1977. The aim of the engineers and designers of this brand is consistently the highest quality of workmanship and rational use of components. All this to achieve sonic qualities that go far beyond designs offered in a similar price range.

The timeless design of the Nota series

The Nota 240 X model is the epitome of Italian design craftsmanship in a compact form. The stylishly contoured side panels have been finished with a durable and aesthetic vinyl coating. The speakers are available in two colors – light walnut or black oak. All this means that the bookshelf design of the Nota 240 X will not only decorate the room, but will also surprise the listener with an extremely emotional and engaging sound with exceptionally high dynamics. The optimized production process and the perfect combination of all components perfectly bring this range of loudspeakers to life.

Nota 240 X – compact design

The Indiana Line Nota 240 X is a light and compact (the smallest in the series), a 2-way loudspeaker with a 26 mm dome tweeter and a 107 mm mid-woofer. The speaker is perfect for apartments and small interiors of up to 12 m2. Thanks to its compact dimensions, you can place it almost anywhere, and even hang it on the wall. The rear-firing bass reflex port helps this compact design to reproduce low bass when placed closer to the wall, and you can use the included foam plug to damp it. Nota 240 X has an amplifier loading impedance between 4 – 8 ohms, and the dedicated power of the amplifier to drive it is from 30 to 60 W. This model is particularly useful as, among others, an effect loudspeaker in a home theater system, as well as in a stereo set, as a TV sound system (in combination with an appropriately selected amplifier). You can also use a pair of Nota 240 X speakers as microsystem speakers.

Clear and deep sound

The polypropylene cone of the mid-woofer with micro-grooves (similar to a CD) gently and warmly reproduces the sound of mid-tones, and at the same time guarantees a sufficiently strong reproduction of deep bass. The tweeter dome with a neodymium magnet and a unique radial rear chamber in the Nota 240 X model is placed in a specially profiled structural element, which improves the dispersion of treble. To emphasize the uniqueness of these loudspeakers, only air coils and foil capacitors are used in the tweeter filter, thanks to which the reproduced treble sounds are clear and distinct.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

Air coils and film capacitors

In order to emphasize the exceptionally clear and natural sound of our loudspeakers, we decided to get rid of the troublesome components from the crossover where it was necessary – in the tweeter filter. In all loudspeaker models in which this filter is used, we use only air coils and foil capacitors. These elements do not introduce harmful distortions to the filtered signal, as is the case with ferrite core coils and electrolytic capacitors.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
