DJ 308

The Indiana Line DJ 308 is a 3-way model from the DJ series. Compared to the DJ 310 speaker, it has a slightly smaller woofer – in DJ 308 it has a diameter of 230 mm. It has been made, like the midrange driver, of polypropylene. The tweeter, on the other hand, is a silk dome construction with a domHorn waveguide. The Indiana Line DJ 308 has a bass reflex cabinet, thanks to which it easily reflects all the sonic nuances hidden in currently used digital formats. The DJ series model is available in a universal black ash vinyl.

Indiana Line DJ 308

Indiana Line is one of the leading Italian brands in the audio industry, and its traditions date back to 1977. In the Indiana Line offer, you will find loudspeakers and installation speakers. The optimized production process and rational use of components distinguish this brand from competing solutions with an above-average quality of workmanship and sound.

DJ Series – unleash good sound energy

Efficient and energy-charged Indiana Line loudspeakers from the DJ series delight with their design, which refers to the good old 80s of the twentieth century. However, they have been created to play contemporary music – energetic, rich in sonic details, and dynamically diverse. Connect them to an amplifier to get the best out of the – modern, powerful, and clear sound.

Power in component quality

The DJ 308 is a 3-way loudspeaker with a 230 mm woofer and a 135 mm midrange with a phase corrector. A dual bass reflex tunnel generates powerful bass pressure with no audible noise or compression. The bass reflex holes are located at the front baffle, which makes it much easier to place the speaker. The loudspeaker can be even placed against a wall or in a corner without affecting the sound quality. The woofers and midrange drivers use injected polypropylene membranes and wide rubber springs to avoid restricting their long travel. The tweeter unit with neodymium magnet, radial rear chamber, and silk dome is assisted by a special waveguide design that ensures phenomenal polar dispersion and increases the efficiency of the driver. What’s more, the loudspeaker is equipped with high-quality crossover and speaker terminals.

Choose ideal parameters

Indiana Line DJ 308 has an amplifier loading impedance between 4 – 8 ohms and is characterized by high voltage efficiency, which is 93 dB (2.83 V / 1 m). The power of the amplifier used to drive this loudspeaker should be in the range of 30 to 140 W. The DJ 308 with a lot of energy flowing from the 230 mm woofer guarantees a strong beat and a full, almost physical feeling of the bass. In turn, the midrange driver, in combination with the tweeter, will saturate even a large space with sound power. The speaker is recommended primarily for rooms with a large area, as a perfect solution for listening to music, e.g. at a dance school or in a gym. The DJ 308 has a black ash vinyl finish and a beautiful old-school design.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

Air coils and film capacitors

In order to emphasize the exceptionally clear and natural sound of our loudspeakers, we decided to get rid of the troublesome components from the crossover where it was necessary – in the tweeter filter. In all loudspeaker models in which this filter is used, we use only air coils and foil capacitors. These elements do not introduce harmful distortions to the filtered signal, as is the case with ferrite core coils and electrolytic capacitors.

DomHorn

DomHorn is a specially shaped front of the tweeter, which appropriately directs the energy generated by the treble transducer, while increasing their efficiency. Thanks to this solution, the tweeter can play clearer and stronger, easily keeping pace with specialized midrange units and high-efficiency and large-diameter woofers, even with louder music reproduction in larger spaces.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

Radialvent

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
