Diva 752

The Indiana Line Diva 752 loudspeaker has a cabinet construction using a bass reflex system. In combination with other Indiana Line Diva loudspeakers, it allows you to create a high-quality home theater system that provides rich sound in a wide range of processed frequency bands. The tweeter (silk dome tweeter) is located symmetrically between two Curv woofers (14 cm in diameter each). The loudspeaker has a cabinet that perfectly suppresses unwanted vibrations. Indiana Line Diva 752 provides dynamic and clear sound, even at high volume levels.

Indiana Line Diva 752

Indiana Line is one of the most important Italian brands on the audio market offering loudspeakers and installation speakers. Its traditions date back to 1977. The goal of Indiana Line engineers and designers has always been to launch on the market models characterized by high quality workmanship. Properly selected components allow manufacturing loudspeakers with sonic qualities that go far beyond the technical parameters that can be achieved in this price range.

The loudspeakers like an Italian diva

Diva series is the flagship series in the Indiana Line brand’s offer and the pride of its main designer. It stands out among the other product lines in the Italian brand with its finish. A beautiful black piano lacquer has been used here. The loudspeakers belonging to this line are like a real Italian diva, who hides a hot southern temperament inside – when she appears on stage, the whispers stop, and a spectacle of excellent sound that delights the crowds begins.

A perfect model for home theater systems

The Indiana Line Diva 752 is a 2-way central speaker with a pair of 140 mm mid-woofers and a 26 mm tweeter placed between them. It can be placed near a wall to enhance low frequencies thanks to the bass reflex cabinet with a rear-firing port. The low tuning of the bass reflex system ensures great bass extension combined with a great impulse response. Importantly, the set also includes a bass reflex port bung, which allows you to reduce the influence of this element on the sound of the loudspeaker. This speaker, intended for the center channel, is a natural complement to a high-quality home theater system created with the use of other loudspeakers from the Diva Indiana Line series. The Diva 752 model will sound best with an amplifier with a power from 30 to 100 W. The amplifier loading impedance of this loudspeaker is 4 – 8 ohms.

A well-designed construction

The central column of Diva 752 uses the latest revision of the tweeter with silk, a 26-millimeter dome. The tweeter is embedded in the cabinet with a soft, rubber pad, isolating it from the potential vibrations of the speaker cabinet. This driver is equipped with a radial rear chamber with two types of damping materials and propelled by a strong neodymium magnet. The tweeter is placed symmetrically between two woofers with unique Curv cones, made of woven polypropylene. The mid-woofer profile provides excellent directional characteristics and optimal internal damping in a wide frequency range. Cast aluminum, acoustically transparent baskets of electro-acoustic drivers confirm the high-class construction and guarantee no noticeable coloration of the acoustic spectrum in the midrange. What’s more, the magnetic drives of the woofers have aluminum impedance linearizing rings, which reduces the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), and also improves the thermal working conditions of the coils.

Proper bandwidth distribution

A carefully tuned crossover with air coils (instead of ferrite core coils, which can make undesirable distortions) ensures the correct distribution of the processed frequency band (from 35 Hz to 22 kHz). Additionally, the filter section responsible for the tweeter is based solely on foil capacitors. What is important, the speaker terminals used in this model have been made of magnetically inert materials and allow the speaker to be connected in bi-wiring or bi-amping.

Rich sound and a wide soundstage

The technical solutions used in the Diva 752 model contributed to the dynamic and clear sound, even at high audio volume levels. Indiana Line designers and engineers’ attention to detail and the high quality of all components allowed the Italian Diva to go to the heights of sound quality. The sophisticated geometry of the drivers and the materials used for the membranes resulted in a clear, yet strong midrange. Also noteworthy is the detailed and open sound of the treble. They are complemented by a deep and warm bass that does not dominate, but at the same time marks its presence. The sound stage is wide and extremely engaging for the listener.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

Air coils and film capacitors

In order to emphasize the exceptionally clear and natural sound of our loudspeakers, we decided to get rid of the troublesome components from the crossover where it was necessary – in the tweeter filter. In all loudspeaker models in which this filter is used, we use only air coils and foil capacitors. These elements do not introduce harmful distortions to the filtered signal, as is the case with ferrite core coils and electrolytic capacitors.

Aluring

The short-circuit ring is made of pure, perfectly electrically conductive aluminum (1010). It has been placed inside the magnetic system of the mid-woofer. By linearizing the impedance of the loudspeaker, it positively influences the sound of the low and medium frequencies of the acoustic band, significantly reducing non-linear distortions. The ring also absorbs the heat emitted from the speaker coil, increasing its thermal load capacity.

Curv cone

Curv is a combination of special fibers with high stiffness and high internal damping. It is a material that is thermally formed into a cone profile, which ensures very good directional characteristics of the sound. The Curv cone combines the advantages of membranes made of natural materials (warm and pleasant sound) with the advantages of stiff membranes (high dynamics, precision and a wide, even frequency response). The membranes made of Curv material are also moisture-resistant and are characterized by high durability. The Curv cone has been used in the mid-woofers.

Floating tweeter

The tweeter is mounted in the cabinet with a rubber insulating pad. This solution is to limit the vibrations transmitted from the front wall of the column cabinet to this sensitive component. The use of a floating mount in the case of a tweeter increases the spatiality of the sound, improves the stereo and clarity of the treble.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

Radialvent

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
