Basso 880

The Indiana Line Basso 880 is the larger of the active subwoofers available in the Basso series. It has a sealed cabinet and amazing acoustic capabilities. It is equipped with a class D amplifier that delivers up to 400 W of power. The Indiana Line Basso 880 model uses an electroacoustic transducer with a diameter of 275 mm, which points downwards, so that the floor also supports bass reproduction. The loudspeaker will be perfect wherever it is necessary to enrich the sound in the low frequency range. It is suitable for both hi-fi stereo systems and home theater systems.

Indiana Line Basso 880

Indiana Line is one of the most important Italian brands offering loudspeakers and installation speakers. It was founded in 1977 in Turin. Compared to competing solutions, the brand is distinguished by an optimized production process and rational use of components. The assumptions of Indiana Line designers and engineers have resulted in the launch of models achieving sonic qualities far beyond the parameters achievable in this price range.

Basso series – extraordinary acoustic possibilities

Basso is a series of active subwoofers with amazing acoustic capabilities. Its models have been designed to complement the low frequencies of loudspeakers used primarily in home theater systems. The amplifiers built into the Basso series subwoofers are equipped with a complete control section, which enables to match these woofers with other components of the audio system, as well as the listening room. The sophisticated design of the cabinets and their relatively small overall dimensions make it easy to place the Basso subwoofer in any room.

The power of bass

The Basso 880 is the biggest active subwoofer in the Indiana Line offer. It provides power up to 400 W. It will be particularly useful for both stereo and home theater systems. It is equipped with a class D amplifier, which, despite its high power, has a lower energy consumption than the weaker class AB units. The mentioned amplification system drives a low-frequency Transducer with a diameter of 275 mm, placed underneath.

Sealed cabinet design

The Basso 880 uses a sealed cabinet, known for its excellent impulse reproduction and very low cut-off frequency. Thanks to this, this subwoofer can generate extremely fast and unusual low-reaching bass, which fantastically complements with its potential the sound of the loudspeakers in the lowest, difficult to reproduce the range of acoustic frequencies. The amplifier used in the Basso 880 model is equipped with a control section, including cut-off and gain frequency adjustment and a phase switch, which allows you to adjust the signal reproduction parameters to the needs and preferences of the user. The Basso 880 is finished with matte black vinyl.

100% polyester damping

All Indiana Line cabinets are filled with polyester – a synthetic non-woven fabric of high purity, known for its excellent damping of the internal resonances of the speaker cabinets. What's more, polyester is also extremely resistant to stretching, drying and moisture.

MDF housing with transverse reinforcements

Indiana Line loudspeakers cabinets are made of MDF panels. They are made using the latest production techniques, which ensures high precision of workmanship, great repeatability and excellent performance parameters for many years. MDF is a moisture-resistant material, it is massive and it suppresses all resonances very well. To completely remove unwanted vibrations, we used transverse reinforcements of the cabinet. They take the form of horizontal rings that are located at key points along the entire height of the loudspeaker cabinet.

Radialvent

A radial damping chamber that prevents harmful reflections under the tweeter dome while allowing it to achieve a low resonance frequency. The small, but at the same time strong, neodymium magnet of the tweeter is surrounded by a space in which – due to its shape – standing waves cannot be generated, which is the case with classic radial chambers located in the axis of the dome.
